At The Hilltop Hotel we strive to provide the best local ales to our customers. We have a wide selection which changes from week to week. Our permanent cask ale is Black Sheep, proven to be very popular with all our customers.

Black Sheep Brewery

Black Sheep first made an appearance in pubs in October 1992. The brewery have recieved many awards for their cask ales, maintaining a high quality of beer over the years.

Acorn Brewery

Acorn Brewery was established in May 2003 by former chef Dave Hughes and his wife Judi, it's is located to the east of the Pennines in the village of Wombwell, Barnsley.

Welbeck Abbey Brewery

Welbeck Abbey Brewery's aim is to produce high quality beer using only the finest ingredients, which means they don’t add any sugar or artificial preservatives to it.

Old Mill Brewery

Small brewery opened in 1983 in a 200-year-old former malt kiln and corn mill. The innovation of selling some beers in plastic, non-returnable handicasks has meant that the beer can now be found nationwide.
